Guys,
i searched around the forum and i found a lot of threads about "Syntax Error", but there´s mostly no solution for...
Today my set crashed, and i had to restart the system. Don´t know why, i had to refill all the license-numbers of Live6 and Operator, install the libary again and the vst-folder.
After that i cannot open my last set, i worked on over one week (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
"Syntax Error"...class ID was expected...but "PluginFI" found instead !
What the hell is the problem ? I installed 6.0.7.yesterday, it is so buggy ???
Hope to get some answers soon...I NEED MY SET BACK !!!!!!!!!
thanks,
Andy

Have you tried
Moving all VST's to another location
Delete your preferences.cfg file
Restart Live

thanks,
if i delete the preferences file i have to install the libary again,
think, refill the license too again and install the vst folders again.
That´s it, what i had to do after the crash !!!
Then the Error occurred...
Do this one more time ???
Why moving vst location ? Didn´t try...yet

i had the same problem with a huge amount of files using the RAM button in the clip view (or sampler).
i was very surprised, when i'm not using it,i have no error anymore (live 6).
the "D" LED is not flashing...
edit...how about removing your files temporarily?

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but I don't think it will do any of those things.

The point is to start live without ANY VST's at all, that's why you'd temporarily move the folder, so that it can't find them and scan them.
