Ableton Forum

I am running Ableton Live on my MAC G4 iBook for shows. I use an AX-1 as my midi controller thru a MIDIsport 2x4 with my Digidesign MBOX as my audio output.

I have a problem that seems simple....but I cant figure it out. Everything shows ok as far as my hardware and when playing keys on the AX I see a midi signal in Live.

However, there is no MIDI signal going to my VST of choice which is the Nexus. It shows its getting no signal at all. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Click on the Record button for that track, or change the input monitoring to "ON".

Ok...so I have looked somewhere to change input monitoring to on? Where is this option? I am quite new to Ableton. I do have a MIDI signal in live....I can see the light flash when I play the keys on my AX. The signal is just not making it to the VST. I wanted to point this out again......just so everyone knows what my problem is. So....input thru the MIDIsport works and my Digidesign MBOX is working too. My VST's just aren't picking up the MIDI signal through Live.

That's what us synth players do ya know....

WHat did you do to get it to work? I'm having trouble sending MIDI out of LIve at all using the IAC driver.
