live lite 5 m audio edition issue

I can't seem to get live to pick up my keyboard as a midi controller, I also have a fireqire 410 to record but can't seem to get anything to work.

The first thing to do is to perform the lessons on how to connect your hardware, and how to use it. These lessons are included in Live and are accessible via the Help menu, 'lessons table of content'. Also, a good reading of the Live manual, your keyboard manual and maybe the soundcard's manual are worth, as to find out what they can and can't do..
It is a bit long process, but I'm sure you'll start having fun in the way, as soon as you get the basic concept. It is fun to learn!
