do u know of any notepad plug in that works whit live?

Interesting. I don't know what you mean, precisely, but I've thought it would be cool (and useful) to be able to append simple text notes to clips--to be able to leave notes for yourself to, for instance, help you differentiate between similar clips, to remind yourself of your thinking on a particular clip or your envelope editing thereof, to note the source of a clip, etc... Just a simple "notes" button in the Clip View.

My way would be to use the info pannel of live... so you could put notes on every scene and when you move your mouse over the scene it would show your notes in the info pannel...

I just picked up an "old" live set, and you DO forget the stuff you were doing back in time! I just went... whatta f*%ç I need a way to document what I've been doing...

hey that's an awesome idea for how to implement it... sweet.
that's way better than having to click on something to pup up a dialogue...

i'd REALLY find this useful. i am always coming back to projects and wondering "where the fuck did i get that sound from again?". i'd love to have a little place to type text within the app. awesome idea.

Without sounding particularly facile (wll it's not my intent)
You know that old fashioned stuff called pen and paper.
You can buy books of it and archive it in a book shelf and have pages of references for any given project at any given time.
Or have we all forgotten how to use a pen ....
I'd rather not have more crap bogging down my system in all honesty..
It's also a great way to document a music encylopedic diary and looking back you'd be suprised how far you come in several years...
Besides which starting out on Pro24 it was a huge pen and paper job in many respects so maybe I'm just a latter day luddite in sheeps clothing.
Either way what have you got to loose.....

it may be ok for home use, but doing live sets, project specific info on the fly sounds better to me. no need to copy your scribblings on a fresh sheet of cut down tree in BIG, neatly written characters before going out (you might think "do it in simple text and print" but that would be kinda dumb), no lost papers when you arrive at the venue, no looking for notes when you want to change the order of your songs during a set (looks kinda silly. i have experience ),...
sure pen and paper is cool for studio stuff, but for live work...
