Selecting multiple clips - huh?

You can't Ctrl-click to select multiple clips in the Arrangement view? Is this right? And Shift-click forces all clips in the region to be selected too?

WTF? How are you supposed to copy/paste parts to build an arrangement?

I looked in the manual, there is nothing about selecting multiple individual clips, only the Shift-click method. Please tell me I'm missing something....

That's what I'm getting at! This is bizarre to me- First off, cntrl-click to multiple select items is a basic function (at least for windows), every program I've ever used supported this! Second, this means when building arrangements I have to copy everything in a selection, and then delete the stuff out that I don't want? How tedious!

So I continue my love/hate relationship with Live...when I'm not using it I miss it, when I try to bunker down and do some real work with it I find I'm constantly amazed and annoyed at all these types of "little things".
:?

Thanks for the response though!

From what I've done, there is no difference in how Live uses ctrl-click and Windows apps use ctrl-click. I'm missing something here?

Try to select and copy/move different clips on different tracks which aren't lined up with each other. It can't be done except for selecting *everything* in that general region!

+1 for this primitive function. Arranging in Live is a nightmare if you have used any other daw

+1 yes please, I feel so silly repeating certain actions 100 times in stead of just selecting the clips and doing the actions just once
