Yesterday, I was setting up the BPM of some mp3 tracks for a DJ set in Live. Suddenly my pointer disappeared but I still could see it was moving because I could read the changing help texts in Live. If I took it to the upright corner, as set up in my expose preferences, I saw it, same if I chose, say, a window from the finder or another app, but as soon as I came back to Live, it disappeared. Seems like I got it back by taking the pointer to the dock, but I'm not sure. Happened to me several times.

This has happened to me a few times in the past - altho' not that often.
problem is i was never able to determine what causes this? to get my pointer back i would press force quit short cut (alt+apple+esc) then the mouse would reappear and i would cancel the force quit...

still would be good to get to the bottom of this one.
