"speed up" midi feedback - any ideas?

so here's my environment:
MIDI Controller A (sends CC msgs) --> LIVE ("echoes" CC msgs) --> MIDI Controller B
...I would like to have realtime visual feedback on Controller B of what is happening in LIVE, however: it seems that LIVE is not sending out "feedback" MIDI msgs until after I have stopped sending CC msgs from Controller A and a certain (short) period of time has passed
i.e. if I use Controller A to send CC msgs to adjust the Volume Level on a track, LIVE will not "echo" any of those messages until after I stop sending CC msgs from Controller A for a short period of time - and then, it will only send the LAST value! clearly, this does not allow me to update Controller B with realtime feedback
however, note that if I use my mouse to adjust the Volume Level on that same track (not via CC msgs), LIVE DOES send immediate and continuous CC msgs out to Controller B
what gives? is there a parameter I can edit in a Configuration File somewhere? is there a reasonable workaround?
