audio drop outs and soft synths...

I have had an occasional drop out on first firing of a scene in Session View loaded with a soft synths MIDI clip. Specs on my computer are: 2.16ghz macbook pro with 2gb RAM, HD is a 7200rpm 100gb SATA 2.5".

My only solution is to fire the scenes at start up and after that they don't have audio drop outs.
Mostly it's scenes with softsynth plug ins on them. I suppose freezing the plug in would work, basically it seems that the plug in spikes the audio for a second.
Specifically Absynth 4 was doing this on a friend of mines track, and it didn't happen as much on my laptop which was slightly more powerful. It's not just NI plugs, and it very possibly could be the fault of the plug in manufacturer and not Ableton, though it would be nice to know what exactly is going on with this.

Perhaps your thread is this one:

Sounds like my problem too :(

I'm going to film me and make a youtube of the disfunction to get a better description of it. Perhaps it's time to spread the word in press, youtubes, etc, to force a reaction from Ableton (I wrote to them and they couldn't solve the problem with no final explanation).

Similar, but very specific to plug ins running. It would be interesting to see if any of this happened to the same song after you freeze the tracks with plug ins on them and play it as simpply audio files.
It's possible it's some sort of plug in related problem...

Actually this sounds like my problem but transferred into the session view.

But I can't pin it down to a specific reason. I can change the slightest thing and it then doesn't do it, or does it on different tracks. All I can say it does need to be a complex set with VSTi and active sends.
