Problem with Live and Audiosport Quattro HELP

Post by jer_mcclain » Thu May 09, 2002 4:31 pm

My audiosport quattro isn't recognized by Live. I put the new ASIO driver (1.2.1) in the folder and Live only sees the sound manager. Both Reason and Cubase see the device and the hardware itself seems to be running fine. I emailed Midiman tech support but they haven't replied yet. Anyone seen this problem? Thanks

Oh, i'm using live 1.5

I've noticed that Live can't see the Audiosport ASIO driver unless the M-Audio icon is in the System Tray (forgive me if you are not a Windows user.)

There is a small *.exe file, I can't remember the name since I'm not at my Live computer, that the Live installation process configures to run automatically on boot-up. This is what puts the M-Audio icon in the tray. Perhaps yours is not running as it should be.

Hopefully, someone from ableton can elaborate upon what I just said.

What operating system are you using? I have my quattro and ableton live working well together in MacOSX 10.1.4. One thing I have noticed is that when I reboot, sometimes the quattro is not recognized. If I unplug the USB cable and plug it in again, the Quattro is then seen by Ableton.

Quatro not working

Post by Damonv » Sat May 11, 2002 4:59 pm

Hey DP I might do the same. I get clicks and pops when the mouse arrow moves across the screen on my laptop and when Live is playing the audio suddenly stops. In Acid and Sound Forge the programs won't even see it?

Hello together,

for all the PC users, please read my postings in "Bugs & Problems -> M-ADIO QUATTRO ASIO SLOW" concerning the clicks and pops.
