firewire or usb2

i want to add an external drive to my 2 ghz macbook, 2gb ram, i want to take it out to play live with Ableton 6. What would u say is my best bet Firewire or usb. let me know plz guys.

I would say firewire by far...check out the lacie D2 Extreme 250GB external harddrive.....it has firewire and usb on it, so have some options
