Recording Pitch bend, sluggish response

Hi,
In session view whenever I try to record playing keys and pitch bending or when overdubbing pitch bend on midi parts there always a considerable delay on the pitch bending movements.
I tried to disable quantization during recording but the delay is still there. I use a motu 828 mkII with about 7ms delay which is never noticeable on notes but truly crap on pitch bend...
Is there anything I can do to tighten up pitch bend reponse? This delay/sluggishness can be heard also when I'm playing keys but not recording,
os is osx latest, Live 5.2 on a imac g5
