I've been trying out the Soundtoys Native bundle demo and am SO blown away by how great they sound and their tweaking depth.
Anyone else try these?
The Echoboy and Phasemistress are insane.
I don't usually go off about plug-ins but I could'nt shut up this time.
Now I just have to come up with the roughly 400 clams....

this is REALLY REALLY high on my list.......but I'm trying not to buy these days.....just sell.
However, you are not alone.........btw, wait till you make "discoveries" about filterfreak.......it does things you have not even thought about yet
These are picky gripes.....but gotta mention them.......
a. That one we can't use unless we have PT.......ugggg.......what a waste!
b. There are times it seems to hit the cpu meter a little harder than exected. EVERY magazine review mentions high cpu......I disagree, except for this "random" hit thing.........
c. No PC support. The #1 reason for me holding off is that I want cross platform stuff ( yes, I use both) ......so it kills me to pay for somthing that is strickly mac.....

I am using these plugins and LOVE them... especially the delay and phaser. They have a sound that evokes real analog hardware, something I've only found consistently in a few other plugins (UAD's Roland effects, for instance). They are also very versatile, the delay for instance can do tape delay emulation, analog delay emulation, chorus emulation, etc and the phaser can model several different vintage phaser flavors.
I am a delay fanatic and use delays in some form on 75% of my instrument tracks... SoundToys EchoBoy is now my go-to delay plugin.
My biggest annoyance is they capture keypresses when their editor windows are open... so you hit spacebar to start things going, and nothing happens... whoops, oh yeah, the SoundToys plugin is open. The USB key is also a minor annoyance. Well worth it, though.
Highly recommended.

Could'nt agree more. I had the UAD-1 PCI card with all the Roland plugs: the RE201 and Dimension D are wonderful.I had both in hardware and sold them(the offers to buy were obscene) I'll be getting a PCI-e card this year at some point(I'm fully on MacIntel now). The newer UAD Neve and SSL plugs are making me droooooool.

Aaahh, my bad. I think the time between demo and purchase was so short for me that it's a blur. Did you ever pick them up?

I just downloaded the demo's.
I did not need a key...I did need to download pace extensions.
they sound great, but I did need to increase my buffer size in live.
so if you hear clicks and pops increase buffer!

I unfortunately don't own it, but EchoBoy is among the best delays I've ever heard.

So these lovely plugs now have Universal Binary support and support for Apple's Logic Pro 7, Digital Performer 5 and Live 6 with new Audio Units versions of EchoBoy, FilterFreak, PhaseMistress, Crystallizer, and Tremolator.
Question is, how do you use the Audio Unit demo versions with Live?
Thanks
