Is it just me or...

Is Reason a pain in the ass to use, due to it's very tiny interface? I've tried incorperating Reason into my setup twice now, but both times I was turned off and away from it mainly because its just an eye-sore. I find myself squinting at my screen when its open, and this never happens with Ableton. There also isn't a full-screen mode either, which kinda bugs me because my attention is usually on my background applications. I just needed to rant about this and state how I love Ableton that much more. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Ive found the sequencer to be a pain in the ass as its tiny, so you gota detatch it, but then u gota change from the sequencer on reason, to the rack on reason and ableton :?

+1 for Reason's sequencer needing improvement.

It seems that it will be improved somewhat in reason 4 (in the screenshots at the props website the sequencer looks more akin to Tracktion or Sonar now) but I have found myself using Reason a lot less since Live came into my life, although I do like the concept of the virtual synths and routing and I am a fan of the program.

Canadian Cubase users have the chance to get Reason 3 with a free upgrade to Reason 4 for $199 CDN from Steinberg, which is quite a tasty deal.

I think there's too much fine detail and effort to make it look like an antique piece of hardware and it's distracting and cluttering to the eyes.

Software has advanced enough that in ways it's actually more efficient and screen space saving if it doesn't look exactly like hardware anymore. I think it needs a GUI makeover with a more simplified modern appearance.

I like Reason's GUI.

Not everyone wants the Apple design concept of simple clean lines preset look with simplicity.

Some of us like complexity and massive tweakability,

The new Reason does have a much sleeker looking interface compared to the older versions if you look at the screenshots for Reason 4.

Reason 4 looks good but I think that Reason 3 sequencer has worked for me just has Abletons has. I really don't think its an eyesore, but if you think so, use something else mate. (i mean that in the nicest possible way)
