Gaaahh! Giant loud feedback noise in middle of track!

Hi all,

I mixed and attempted to master my first mash up in Live, using only Live tools. I rendered to disk as a WAV file, burned it to CD, it sounds fine. I was trying to clean up my Live library, so moved to the trash versions 1-3 of the .als file for the project. Then I played the fourth and final version of the .als in Live, and when it hit a particular sound effect (crickets) the playback stopped and the track with the effect on it played VERY loud feedback.

I brought the third .als of the project back out of the trash, replayed the final in Live just as I had done, and all was well again.

I don't know if the two are connected. The offending sound effect was not in the third take, just the final. I really don't know what happened but am concerned. I'm pretty sketchy on the whole deal with managing sets, creating projects, and what kind of files Live creates at various stages of the process.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
