hey

in ableton live 5 you used to be able to drag and drop midi files right off the desktop into a project. for some reason you can't now... i booted up my old copy of 5 and it works perfectly but not in 6...

what gives?

that should read MIDI SONG files...

Try expanding the midi file in the browser. It should open up all the midi tracks

I've been dragging midi files lately into live6 without any problem. I don't think I've tried dragging the entire MIDI song in at once though. Should try that...

there was somewhere in arch a thread of that problem yet with 6.0.5 i think.
as said before the mid loops should be available form the browser

already tried putting entire songs from browser and AFAIR it worked

Whats the format?

.mid or .smf?
