Ableton Forum

I use an evolution UC33e as midi controller, as most of my needs midi needs are knobs and sliders. I am about to embark on a live project where i may need to trigger samples quick and easy, without scrolling about with a mouse. I know some people use the keyboard. So:

How do I set this up?
Can I configure, say, the numbers to trigger the next sample in the channel of the same number? or the letters to trigger a sample specifically associated with that letter?

Anyone? I jump ship tomorrow and some tips would be dead handy!

its like assigning any other midi button to trigger a clip...only instead of clicking on 'midi' (map), click on 'key'
