Serious Program Errors while Recording Live Sets
Posted: Tue Jul 10, 2007 3:31 pm
I've just finished a gig tonight, and for the sixth time out of fourteen I have had to finish the gig with a "serious program error" box in front of the Live interface.
This only happens when I record my sets.
I use Ableton mostly to trigger synths from my MIDI guitar, but I also record the audio from the line out of my guitar amp as well, which I think is the problem.
The program doesn't actually close or stop the audio, it just can't be altered, ie I can't trigger new clips, but what was already playing still keeps going.
The audio is still in the audio tempfolder so that is ok, but I can't for the life of me save the .als file, which I need to get all the synths I used.
I am using Live 6.07 with a MacBook 2.0Ghz 1 gig of RAM. My OS is WinXP SP2.
The set went for 48 minutes and I received the error message maybe ten minutes from the end.
The set is actually still open and looks like this:

I would REALLY like to salvage at least some of the set.
Thanks in advance!
