Long audio files ( 2 minutes) are listened with continual cliks and drops even if it is the only track playing. BUT the harddisk overload indicator does not light, and cpu indicator is 6 or 7 %.
I have tryed changing the sample freqency to 32 or even 22 Kh and the problem is still there.
I have a labtop running at 2,6 Gh with 760 M DDR.
Does anyone has an idea

i'm actually experiencing this on my mac desktop (quicksilver g4, 867, 1g ram)
this never happened before, just with this one live set that i'm working on. no processor overloads. but it sounds exactly like that. audio drop outs and stutters.

It's the same with my setup (AMD 2,6 , 512 DDR, Maxtor Diamond HD) .. strangewise it's worse when I render the audio to disk.. Are there any ideas to fix this?? I am a dark ambient artist and I have large user of really long audio files..
