started dj-ing at a club in north london but music policy is along the lines of indie electro (i tend to prefer more electro electro).
I played there for the first time last week and think I ended up getting a bit too "hard" for a lot of the people.
Problem is that my set is 6hrs which is a hell of a lot of music so any recs (or even your own songs) along these lines would be greatly appreciated.
things along the lines of klaxons, a yeah yeah yeah remix I put together, the faint and les savy fav seemed to go down the best.
thanks in advance.

Let me know where. Sound like my kind of music, and it's my neck of the woods.
the_planet's list is a good one. Also many of the artists on this list have remixed other artists, so that's another good option - e.g. Wolfmother "Woman" (MSTRKRFT Remix), Gossip "Standing In The Way Of Control" (Soulwax Remix), Franz Ferdinand - The Fallen (Justice Remix), etc. Maybe a few decent mash-ups too.
The likes of Kissy Sell Out and Does It Offend You, Yeah seem to go down well with that crowd as well.
Hell, sounds like a dream gig for me! So if six hours gets to be too much for you, give me a shout...

No prob, mang. I'll append it as I think of more. (I need to make a list anyway)
Oh, and I'm also jealous of you! Maybe if they allowed a *bit* of industrial, It would be my dream gig!

yeah using live, last week was the first time I played out with it.
Took along a load of vinyl and cd's as back up but hardly used in the end.
What night?
fridays but every 2-3 weeks. Next one is on the 27th.

To be honest they arent all that fussy about being a bit flexible in genre's.
towards the end last time i got a bit self indulgant and just started playing a load of new house/electro remixes that i really like and wanted to hear on a big system.
