Live 5.2, EQ 3 and the M-Audio X-Session Pro

I've only got into DJ'ing very recently. Just mixing tracks that I have on my laptop really. So I bought an X-Session Pro and a bit after the FireWire 410 for cueing music.
Now, in Ableton Live 5.2, I have the EQ 3 set to Audio track 1 and 2. But the controllers on the X-Session Pro don't register correctly it seems.
When they're in the 0 position on the X-Session Pro, they show up as -13.8 through -14.5, turning them to 3 o'clock makes them go to 0 in Ableton though.
Is this a common thing? If so, is there a fix?
