Using Live as FX processor for DJ rig

i have been using ableton as my effects processor for my dj rig.

i have a xone 92, it has 2 aux sends for effects.

i hook the sends to 2 inputs on my computer. route these inputs to channels on ableton.

i also have a redsound voyager sync box. this generates MIDI clock from the beat, so my FX are in time

have them go out to a seperate channel on my mixer.

i now can use any of abletons fx on my cd players

any thoughts?

strange, why not?

other than that, there are DJ rack downloads in the other sticky above and another forum to check out www.abletonlivedj.com which is geared more towards what you're after.

Your main issue is going to be latency. I would make sure to use a high-end sound card to limit the inevitable delay between the affected sources and the "live" sources.

i have no issues doing this, i started doing this back on ableton 3

i sometimes use my onboard card, latency is no issue, even with that, but when i use one of my aiso cards, the Digi002 or one of my other ones, latency disappears

i only return the wet signal back to the mixer
