Need help: How can I loop one clip 1/8th ahead of time?

Dear Friends,

I need some help. I have a MIDI clip that loops perfectly, but it's *always* supposed to start 1/8th before all other loops in my Session View.

Here is a screenshot:

Is it possible to make one clip always start and loop 1/8th ahead of other clips in my live Session mode? In the above example, all other clips would be starting on-beat at the 3.1 marker point.

move the start marker in the clip, check the manual for more details.

Heya, I have the manual but I cannot seem to find the page that describes this. The problem is that the clip loops in time with the other clips.

The effect I want is this: bassline -> kick drum -> bassline.

If I move the start marker, the effect I hear is bassline + kick drum -> bassline + kick drum, because they both hit at the same time.

How can I make the bassline play before the kick drum in my other loop?

try right clicking on the notes window so you can move the start marker in smaller increments.

I just opened the manual, in the index "start/end markers......page 88" it's actually page 89.

also try the .pdf version of the manual and search for a topic, really easy way to 'speed read' the whole thing.

and leave the help window open in the lower left corner of Live, take some time, hover your mouse over EVERY control box in the Live window and read that box, great feature for getting up to speed, it was one of the things I loved the most about Live when I started.
