Axiom 25 transport controls... anyone?

Howdy. Played my first gig last night w/ my experimental/ambient rock band. Went quite well. Everyone came up to us after the show and were so curious how we "did" what we "did." I was pretty happy. 
)
But... I set my 6 Axiom transport controls to arm/disarm 6 different tracks. I looked in the Axiom manual and set the transport controls to "toggle" mode or whatever. I set them to send toggle midi messages or whatever it is. But i have to like push the transport control TWICE before it does anything. So if i want to disarm track 1 and arm track 2, i have to double tap track one, then double tap track 2. it's a pain in the ass. Anyone know what setting I'm supposed to set these controls to?
