Oh dear god, it's a n00b rewire question!

Hi, so I'm having trouble getting ableton to recognize MaxMSP's audio in's via rewire. Interestingly, I can select MaxMSP as midi in's on my ableton midi tracks ... but I do not see any MaxMSP audio inputs on my audio tracks.

So, I do of course have MaxMSP's audio driver set to ad_rewire, and I read the tutorial on the cycling74 site.

Still, I see no audio ins from Max ... is there some config switch that the tutorial overlooks?

If it matters, I'm using Ableton 6.0.7 and MaxMSP 4.5.7 on an Intel Mac.

Please help! :? :?

I'm just starting in with max/msp and would like to try to debug your problem, can you post the text to your .mxb? I can copy it into the editor and pick up where you left off.

I'm more looking to learn from your question, I'm a max n00b, I've been through some of the max tutorials and none of the msp pars on the demo and only recently bought it.

I just made an object box and named it cycle~, hit help, did the same for ezdac~ and am on your trail. this is great shit, this is a good way for me to learn, connect this to that. so you made a synth and you want to rewire it into Live? ;)

anyway, I'm posting because I also have the max/msp runtime installed and I see that as an input in Live. try running your stuff in the runtime environment.
