Any PC Express Card Audio Interfaces yet?

Most new laptops come with PC Express card slots instead of the old PCMCIA slots. So there must be a few Audio Interfaces on the way.
Anyone heard of any cards?

RME told me they are working on a PC Express card version for their Multiface but it won't ship until 4th quater this year.
That will be my rescue!

there are plenty of eSATA express 34 cards out. i think companies should make audio interfaces that work via such a protocol.

That is very good news! I went and bought a Fireface 400 after upgrading to a Macbook Pro, and I'm not convinced that firewire is nearly as cpu-friendly as PCMCIA / Express. I'll happily go back to my Multiface when they bring out the new card.

Paddy, at which point you'll give me your 400 to keep my 800 company and we'll all be happy and home in time for lashings of ginger beer! Huzzah for Pitch Black!

Yes and especially the thing about Pcmcia/Express Card being much faster than firewire and usb just sounds great.

Do you know the speed of

Pcmcia: ?

PC Express: ?
Same as pcmcia?

AFAIK, its just whatever the speed of the PCI bus of the computer, which is the "mainline"... (please correct me 'puter architecture types!!) so it's as fast a pipeline in or out as you're gonna get. (?)
