multiple lanes of automation in arrangement and clip view

its still baffles me that there is not the option to open up tracks and see multiple lanes of automation side by side simultaneously, most other d,a,w's offer this it seems, this feature alongside lives powerful clip triggering would make live unstoppable.
and to expand on this if you could have multiple lanes below the midi editor in the clip view to (optionally) replace the usually redundant (in my case) velocity lane then programming complex drum patterns using control of multiple parameters simultaneously would become easier ten fold, because at present it becomes a laborious laboured task that usually ends in compromise due to frustration from constantly clicking between the env and midi view and then going on to faff with the two drop down menus to find your parameter. this becomes laughable when you are doing tiny adjustments of say, pitch env amount and and pitch env decay etc.
id like to take this chance to note that i did notice the addition in 6 of viewing only automated parameters in a single drop down menu which increased productivity in this respect by a small margin but its still not enough.
it just frustrates me that features like this are missing when other packages like reason have had them since day one and i have to resort to using a separate program containing an inferior drum machine than the one i have payed through the nose for because my favorite sequencer lacks the features to fully exploit its potential, or even exploit that of its own, with these features impulse would become a monolith of a dm.
i know im ranting , and i know live has many automation features that other sequencers lack and of course the unique interface that makes initial creativity so easy and streamlined but i feel that these ideas hit a brick wall as the roots of the idea take hold and find myself resorting to reason for the answer (dont get me wrong reason is great), and now im faced with the question whether i fork out 7 or 800 odd quid for a copy of logic pro and spend time becoming versed in its ocean of features just to be able to program expressive drums using my third party drum machine, while im an otherwise happy owner of the most fluid and intuitive sequencer in existence.
maybe egg is on my face and iv overlooked an already existent means of doing this, and in which case il crawl back into my hole and weep whilst using requested features to create a melancholy drum line.
or if im right and wishes would come true i would do much the same, although they would be tears of joy whilst bringing fourth most rapturous beats conceivable.
so come on ableton multiple lanes of automation in live 7?
