Hi,

If you wish to use Live in standalone mode with your Digidesign hardware, you have to first install the Core Audio or ASIO drivers, for that Digidesign hardware. They should be included on your Pro Tools install CD, or you can download the latest on the Digidesign website.

hi. i am quite sure (but now in doubt...) that the drivers were installed when i installed protools on my mac. went to digidesign website and they say the same (that it should be like this). unfortunatelly, when i open the "digi core audio manager" it says nothing clear; only states the hardware is connected, its channels and buffer size.
give some more hints please, i would like to see this solved... :P
thanks §

ps- and what is that about using live instand alone? can i use any other way?! (as a plug-in or something)

You can use it as a ReWire slave (or master, for that matter)

Hi,

Once you've opened the Rewire 'plugin' in Pro Tools, you've got to open Live, which will automatically slave to the Pro Tools transport.

We've got a short tutorial on the matter, here:

Kind regards,
