You can't bump a thread that has just started! It's already at the top of the list. :P

I don't have sampler or operator but heard there is a morphing filter in sampler?

Please can we have this in autofilter too?

Also it would be nice to have the 12 and 24 pole variants as per simpler.

Also dry/wet would be a godsend in some cases.

i was actually quite pissed off at the whole operator and sampler thing.

just seems cheeky to me that ableton could take our money from live sales and then develop additions to the program that we have to pay extra for without implementing some of the goodies in other parts of the program.

This won't work for you?
yeah, but who wants a workaround

to keep with the 'Live" paradigm you should be able to drag FX in on the fly

of course you can pre make racks but....I WANT A DRY WET!

Yes I know I should make up a bunch of preset racks - but I dont know somehow things start getting complex when using racks - suddenly you have chain hide/view settings, different views and it's nowhere near as intuitive as a simple dry wet knob would be

but I guess I should make do - it's really not that bad a workaround

Hey Forge

I totally see where you're coming from, But...

i spent 3 or 4 minutes creating this rack from the above link and not only does it work perfectly but it only uses one instance of the plugin (any plug in you want, even vsts!!!)

just do it once and save the rack to the top of your library. All you have to do is drag any effect onto the "wet" chain.

I agree it would be nice to have dry/wet on the autofilter but this is more of a power user tip than a workaround.

I will definitely be exploiting this rack alot.

If they implement a dry/wet control on autofilter in Live you will no doubt still come across other plugins that you want a dry/wet control for.

remember, this works for ALL plugins, not just autofilter or the live ones.

Fan-fookin-tastic :):):)

Yeah I know you're right

I guess it's finally time I started getting more into racks

I actually I have to totally eat my words

the rack posted above is really enough for this - there's no point Ableton adding things like this when it's so easy to make a rack an save the preset

it would be alot nicer looking and more intuitive to have a D/W knob so you could grab it straight away, but as scorb said you'd need to do it to a few plug-ins

but I agree about the filter morphing, but that's for a different thread

oh wait - I started this so I can change the title!

Download the filter madness bundle!!!
Its my half ass attempt at making some morphing filters with racks. Its a little bundle of several different filter racks so you may have to dig through to find the morphing ones I'm talking about. Not as good as the one on Sampler maybe.. but maybe some of you can make a better one?
