View clip and effects at the same time?

Probably a dumb question...
Is there any way to float the clip or effects views or have them displayed at the same time? Seems ridiculous that you can't do this by default.

yep this really sucks. ableton's 'all in one window' interface has many editing drawbacks.

you can with VST fx but not the ableton fx.

hopefully something modular like this will come out of the ableton C74 strategic partnership... it'd also be nice to be able to see more than a single playing track view at a time - floating windows could help here as well...
