Hi!

Anyone come up with a good bass plugin? Not an amp-only-solution, but a sampled or a modelling VST/AU instrument? I do mostly rock so I'd need that kinda sounds.

I read or Brumstick and the there's Steinberg's virtual bassist, but the latter requires a USB dongle. Won't buy any of that kind of products.

Any links or experiences or suggestions appreciated! Oh, and max 200 euros but the less the better.

thanks, looks great!!! have you used it much? how does it feel, does it fit to mix well? is the sound well tweakable?

it has just recently been released, so still gettin' to know it.
the samples themselves are extremely playable -many articulations including
slides, taps, slaps and the like.
good selection of presets that show off what it is capable of.

I like Spectrasonics Trilogy a lot. It's basically a very large (3gb) ROM Player, but it has some great samples. You might also look at good sample packs.

yeah i agree with that Trilogy is great, its alittle over your budget, but you wont regret buying it!

I have 'Ultimate Bass Kit' and Manyguitar from Manytone. The quality of their samples is excellent and they are very helpful.

PS I am not related or employed by them, just a very satisfied user of their products.

I do rock and metal stuff using Hardcore Bass by Quantum Leap, the MusicMan and Lakland picked sounds in there are great. Should be fairly cheap now too, was somewhere around 200 euros when I first got it...

AASs ultra analog or stringstudio for more 'organic' bass sounds.
