Hercules MK2 DJ Console as a midi controller

hey!
i have read some posts of people who are using the hercules MK2 as a midi controller for ableton... i can't get it to work at all...
i'm on a dell latitude D820 with 2GB of RAM and 200GB HD, and 2 x Centrino 2.33hgz
i've tried a number of things but none of them worked, so if someone has a MIDI template they could let me have i'd be very grateful
