Using Ableton Live Actually Live

Hi all!
I have just got Ableton Live and am looking to set it up as the hub of my live rig, if possible.
Can anyone tell me if the following things can be done through Ableton:
1. I want to set up a stereo track for my backing track
2. I want to set 2 audio tracks up for vocals and guitar both set to input mode.
3. I want to automate the mix fully; can tracks receiving input signal be manipulated like a live audio desk?
4. I want to synchronise a Line 6 Toneport so that the guitar sounds change at certain points within the song.
I have been gigging for the last 5 years with the following setup:
1. A Korg D1600 desk running backing tracks and automating the mix via scenes placed at required points throughout the song. The D1600 is the midi master.
2. A Korg Triton Extreme sync'd to the D1600, with a midi track running to send out patch numbers to a Boss GT6 guitar FX board.
Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as this is my first venture into PC sound making...
Many Thanks
Chris.
