Rewiring Live into Cubase SX2

Post by Guest » Sat Mar 13, 2004 3:15 pm

Is it only me or is anyone else experiencing jerky audio when rewiring Live into Cubase SX2. Dropouts occur and the loop point seems to "flange" as it does not loop exactly on the beat? Really only upgraded Cubase to use with Live and am starting to regret it!

Same here. Others on the SX2 forum too.... http://forum.cubase.net/forum/Forum1/HTML/019185.html

As I tend to write in loop it's a pain for me. I tend to get what I want going in Live and then export individual tracks to SX. Not ideal.

Monkeying around with your latency settings in SX sometimes helps.

I kinda thought something like this might happen so I've stayed with SX 1.0.6 and Live 2.1.2. Works like a charm.

The jerky audio has gone (I unchecked multi processor in SX) but still get a double hit at the loop point. Live is receiving a midi message every time Cubase loops round and this is causing the double note hit. However intermittendly when the midi message doesn't occur it loops perfectly? Anyone have this problem?
