Zoom H4 Reducing Wind Noise

Hi All

Ive got a Zoom H4 which considering the price is'nt bad and Im quite happy with it.

The main problem I have is if I venture outside for a bit of the old field recording.
Even with the spongey blob windshield covering the mics, the slightest breeze is picked up and sounds quite loud in the resulting recording.

Has any one any top tips for reducing the unwanted noise from the recorded file, tried EQ ing without much success but Im no expert, or any reccomendations for a wind screen that will work.

Thanks

You have to strap a dead cat on there:

I would get the one for the Rode NT4:

oh yeah...

you use the Windjammer with the foam windscreen. So, you put on your sponge blob, then you fit the windjammer over it like a fur coat.

turning away from the wind where possible

using a piece of cardboard to block the wind

and the cat fur already mentioned
