See manual page 48;
When Render to Disk is invoked while the Arrangement View is up, Live will render the selected time range.
If you would like to render the current Arrangement loop, choose the Select Loop command from the Edit menu prior to choosing Render to Disk. If you choose Render to Disk while the Session View is up, Live will ask you to specify the length of the sample to be rendered.
The Render to Disk dialog will come up with a bars-beats-sixteenths eld where you can type in the desired length. Live will capture audio starting at the current play start position for whichever duration you have specified.

I sympathize.
Most I can tell you is how I do it:
1. ARRANGEMENT view is up (not the clips view)
2. put the LOOP brackets around your entire mix
3. click on the middle of the loop brackets (i do this but it's probably not necessary.
4. File menu > render to disk. LOOK OVER ALL THE OPTIONS in the popup that render to disk brings up.
No

I am having the same issue with live 5.2.1, and I even went in and bracketed the mix in arrangement view and then re rendered. Nada. Support suggested I update to 5.2.2 but I've never connected my studio computer to the internet and I'm a bt worried that updating could cause me to lose all my music I made for the last year. Maybe thats silly.

I'm wondering if this is a bug that hasn't been fixed between versions. I'm using v6, and I'm having rendering problems.
This is the first time that I have ever had problems, and with this particular track I get a very quiet track that only has sound in the left speaker (normalize on). The track wasn't clipping in Live, and I rendered to 16 bit, 44kHz. As I said, this has always been successful.
I tried to render without normalizing, and I got a file of the correct size, but with no sound. Turning normalize on again gave me the same quiet file in the left channel.
I wonder how many other people have found problems with this?
