Bug (3.02): Can't Rename Tracks form Arrange view

Used to be able to double click in the track names list in Arrange View to change the track names. Now in 3.02, nothing happens to the lettering when you double click on 'em.

Is there a different place to name the tracks now, or whatta what what whattaya do?

HOPEFULLY IN THE NEXT LIVE UPDATE, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO JUST DOUBLE-CLICK ON THE LETTERING IN EITHER SESSION OR ARRANGE VIEW LIKE BEFORE AND NAME YOUR TRACKS...

THANKS,

Actually, just tried to name a track, and as soon as you get done typing the name of the track, as soon as you deselect that lettering and click on another track, it goes instantly back to Track 20, or whatever it was before.

very annoying.

what's the deal? little bizznuggy bug bug?

Is no one else really having this problem? I'm on an Apple G4 tower running OS 10.2.6

I'm the only one?

Hi shermanfunk,

the reason why the track naming behavior is changed since Live 2.1 is that people often double-click a track by mistake. Which is can be confusing in especially in a live situation. So that's why we changed it.

Because the different keyboard layout on Pc and Mac the shortcut are:
Ctrl + E (Pc)
Cmmd + E (Mac)

Alex

Thank you Alex, for anyone else who comes across this, you also have to hit the return button to verify that you are intentionally trying to change the lettering, if you just click somewhere else after you rename the track without hitting return, it will default back to whatever it was before.

thanks again
