hi all!

i found the very annoying problem. i imported some mp3 files into LIVE, warped and markered them and "collected all and saved" with the current project. then when i opened the project on another pc - LIVE re-opened all the files with some warp markers shifts. the shifts were small and equal but "not to beat" and the sync with the new imported files became impossible. it was really a pain to set all the markers correctly. i "collected all and saved" the project but later when i opened the project on the 1st machine - all the shifts were available again but to the opposite side!.. even transfering the LIVE cash from one machine to another doesn't help.

both pc's have LIVE v.6.0.5 installed.

does anyone know how to solve that problem?

As far as I could tell Ableton Live has to convert the mp3 files to wav first. Maybe during this conversion factor something is getting off. Normally I just simply convert files to wav directly since I was used to using the Lite version before. See if this happens when using wav files. Also make sure that you turn analysis files on and that it is located in the same directory as the audio file.

Hi,

Indeed a problem can occur if the two machines are using a different decoder for the mp3. For instance, the default Windows decoder, Direct Show, produces some errors with mp3 files encoded with VBR.

The best way to ensure the same convertion on different PC machines is to install Quicktime player on both the machines.
