Live crashes loading sets with multicore support turned on

Been having this problem since I built this PC last year. Live (not always, but regularly) crashes badly when opening a set whilst multicore support is on. There is no problem when it is turned off. So this is how I've been using it. I get by OK, but it's annoying that I'm not able to make use of my dual-core CPU. I don't have a problem in any other software.

This is my setup:

Asrock Conroe945G-DVI mobo
Core2Duo E6400 (no overclock)
2 x 512MB Corsair Value DDR2 5400
M-Audio Audiophile 2496 + M-Audio Delta 1010LT (latest drivers)
Windows XP SP2

Anyone got any ideas? :?

Haven't fully tested the theory yet, but I'm beginning to wonder if it might be something to do with certain plug-ins, in particular ones made with Synthedit.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Disable 3rd plugins and try again.Maybe there is a plugin that makes live crash.

Yep, it doesn't happen with the VST folder deactivated. Now I just need to discover the plug-in that doesn't like my dual core. I bet it's one of my favourites!

Well, I think I narrowed it down to Arcdev's ET-200 delay VST, which is a favourite of mine actually.

Anyone else had a problem with this plug in Live with multicore turned on?

I've totally run into this. Sometimes, when I got a great jam going, Live will just "poof" crash, leaving nothing in its wake. When I try to recover the set from the undo history, Live will do the same thing while loading the set - poof. This means I can never recover the lost work, because I need to load live without restoring the set to turn off multicore support and then reload the last saved version of the set.

Its definitely due to a VST plugin, but I have no idea which one.
