There is my problem, if I plug my Novation Remote SL or other USB controller and I start my ableton live 6.0.9, it shows that my CPU is over 6XX% or 13XX% when I load a project (not before). I can press play, but I don't hear any sound. My CPU does not seem to be a problem, because...

When I remove my USB controller, I restart ableton live, it goes ok. Without problem at 40% CPU for instance for the same project.

I have an Acer Aspire 5630
Dual Core 2 1.66 Mhz
2 Gigs of RAM
160 Gigs hard disk
RME Multiface 2 as a sound card

I had this configuration with an Pentium M 1.6 GHz before and I did not have this problem.

I did a ghost (with Acronis True Image) of my old computer (Pentium M 1.6GHz), put the ghost in my new computer (Acer Aspire 5630) and I reinstall all my drivers. I did not have any problem except with my USB controller.

This may be a midi loopback problem. Do you have any active midi outputs feeding back into an midi inputs? Even virtual ones like midiyoke.

It might be worth checking the midi input and output section in your Live preferences. Switch them all off and then plug your controller in. Then one by one enable the ones you want and see what happens.

In my case, I was not able to solve this problem with this technique.

It's happening when I am loading an old project. If I start a project from scratch I don't see the CPU increasing at 600%.

It does not matter if the project is big or not. It goes over 600% of CPU.

Really anoying...
