Live Unexpectedly Quit

Live crashes when I´m quitting the program, both from the menu, and by clicking the X. It also crashes when I have a session open, and then try to open a saved live set. I have a PB 1Ghz with Panther and a Motu 828mkII. I have deleted the prefs and undo files with no luck.
Does anyone have a solution? :?:

Hi Howie,

I was expriencing the same problem, where Live would just quit in the middle of a session, bang, just like that! It turned out to be the RAM in my 15" Alu-book G4. I recently got 2 new Samsung 512mb chips and all is good now, I did some research and found out these newer 15" lappys have many ram issues, and Samsung seems to be the only 'sure thing' to install. Having said that, I still feel like Live is a bit sluggish if too many tracks are playing, but at least the 'quits' have stopped. Hope that helps?

i've posted my problems allready in another thread ... i've probs when syncin' live (3.01 panther & 3.02 os9) to a drummachine (as master) and stream the sound of this device thru live (for filterin' and fx) - suddenly live crashes in both os (by the way - os9 is so nice to tell me it`s error2??).
could this be a ram-issue as well??

tibook 667 dvi 2*256MB (one of them is originally provided by apple)

i've been getting consistent unexpectedly quits while receiving sync from an external source.. if i have sync set to EXT then i'm guaranteed to get a crash.. if i turn it off, no problems..
powerbook g4/400 512meg ram.. panther..

Hi nobbystylus,

can you send me a system crash log of Live and Live's own log file (.../Preferences/Ableton/Live 3.0.2/Log.txt") too?

- Do you use MIDI clock or MTC?
- Which device is the sync source?

Does the crash happens after a special action or somehow randomly?

regards,
Alex

Hi kay101011,

sorry I overlooked your posting.
Please also provide me with an crash log of Live (from Panther) and Live's own log file (.../Preferences/Ableton/Live 3.0.2/Log.txt").

Please also let me know:

- What is your MIDI interface
- Do you use MIDI clock or MTC
- Does the crash happens somehow randomly or after a special action

regards,
Alex
