A reason why loop is turned off when you consolidate?

Is there a reason why loop is turned off when you consolidate a clip?

If you have a loop in the session view and you consolidate it, the loop button is deactivated after the consolidation process if finished.

Since I find it annoying enough to drag clips from session view to track view in order to consolidate them I often enough forget,
that after consolidating it the loop is turned off. When I bring it back to the session view I might find out only a while later why there is
"something wrong". My clip isn't looped.

So. Is there a reason why this should be so or is this a BUG?

keep up the good work

A 'consolidate' command in Session View would make my day. As well as a 'consolidate each clip individually' or a 'crop' command in Arrange.
