Hi I was wondering if there are any tips for creating a drum n bass build up like Pendulum do.
Also, how do you pitch bend. I want to make ONE single long note get higher and higher to help make a build up.
PLease advise.

Pendulum tends to use alot of layers to create their sound in general and even more so in their build ups. You can do the pitch bend thing by assigning an envelope on a synth to control pitch, then tweak to get the right bend length and pitch.

Or just use the default pitch bend envelope. I guess most synths would respond to that by default.

Yeah but it doesnt tend to bend very far. My advice is to find the VST plugin "Dub Siren", then sample it "sirenning" upwards, then slow it down using warping. This may work. Or you could try using a loop and then use a MIDI controller to increase the transposition by centitones...

or you could.... not try to replicate and come up with your own way of doing things and become the next pendulum.

you know that's true... pendulum was not a good example....
pendulum is weak
but what I'm saying is you can be original and become the next big popular musician.
ESPECIALLY in drum n bass..... everything HAS been done, now it's a matter of being original and pushing and expanding the boudries....
speaking of which, isn't it funny how mainstream music doesn't change much at all whilst the underground is pushing and expanding and warping at all times?
