Licensing disaster!

severely annoyed at ableton...

I licensed my copy of ableton 1 years ago and then upgraded to live 4 and then 5, ordered 6 with my discount yesterday via paypal and paid for it.

I have a copy of live 1 for sale on ebay (seperate from my old v1)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=003

(i didnt start this post intended to plug btw... but while im here ;) )

I put in the serial number of the new v1 into albeton's site in a moment of madness and of course it registered - i didnt think this would happen as the copy was given to me by a friend... (the one thats on ebay)

SO... i emailled ableton to ask them to deregister the new copy of version 1, little did i know the serial i just registered from years ago was swapped for the new one in the registered software list.

(keep up i know its complicated)

so when i asked them to deregister the second copy of ableton (the one on ebay) they deregisterd the wrong one and in one fell swoop all my licenses are GONE.

:(

an utter disaster and one the result of inefficient internal product regsitration auto services.

:(

Hi,

I'm sure your case would be solved in no time. Are you still in a mail conversation? Explain the case well. Let me know if you get trouble, I'll "push" it a bit.

Regards,
Amaury

This has got to be one of the reasons I love Ableton as a company so much. Big ups for keeping it close to the customer!
