clip no longer plays

after collecting and saving sucssesfully ? 1 audio clip shows a signal in track and master but no sound i have found the original and previewed it no sound ! id really like to know where it went ,other clips in the same track play ok how would deleating recording effect clips? there are no midi used 
must have been calculating something poor little CPU
