problem with collect and save and rendering

hiya,

i am having problems with my ableton; i have collected and saved before and have got the folder with samples etc... on but for some reason it doesn't do it anymore. i get the progress bar and it looks like its done but then i can't find the folder. i have one specified folder where i save to so it shouldn't be a case of saving to the wrong folder. i wondered if anyone else had a problem like this and if i am doing something wrong?

my second problem seems to be when i am rendering the track to an audio file. when the song is set out and i highlight it to render it sometimes it will create the file and i can play it and it's all good. on one of my projects the file is there but it's blank. can anyone help me on this please? i would be really grateful.

thanks,

Silvers

Hi,

One reason for this, would be that your set was saved in an existing Project folder (the Library is one), so that when you saved the set, no Project folder was saved for that set, and the files were copied to the already existing Project folder, when you did "Collect and Save". Save your set to a new location and you should be fine.

Just to check:

- you have to select a time range containing clips, and this time range will be rendered.
- the render will get the sound from the Master track only, by default.

honestly i couldn't have hoped for a more straight forward and informative answer.

I am very grateful, it's been pissing me off for about 3 months!
