No more dongle either!!!! Finally!!!!

Wow, that's a huge upgrade for the price, I can't believe they cut the price of a new version in half, AND you get Soundtrack too.

what is intriguing me is MainStage.. if that'll be the "live performance" component.. then I'm interested to see what it's like before I jump my gun and wave by to ableton (which I DONT want to do)

Maybe this will usher the Abes to quit charging for add on instruments that only work within Live. I could update to live 6 and buy sampler.... that would be close to $300... or for $500... convolution reverb, sampler, synthesizers, step sequencers, drum machines, crossfading capabilities in arranger--Logic.

I'm impressed... too bad it's Mac only. I'm in the market for a new computer though, so I guess I will give it some time. I hate being tied down to Apple's hardware configs and cruddy graphics cards, but the OS and some of the Mac only software may be worth reconsidering... at least after Leopard is released.

Upgrade from Express to the full thing for $299! All looks good to me... (despite the fact that i've already got Soundtrack Pro)..

mainstage, soundtrack pro, a bucketload of very decent instruments AND logic pro for 499usd is awesome, but I also feel the pricing is overly aggressive. The pricing structures of several companies must be re-thought now.

Yeah, I would think this'll send a big ripple through the DAW market.
