Integration with Max/Msp

A while back Ableton announced the beginning of a partnership with Cycling '74 for research and development. When I heard of this, I had dreams of a new version of Ableton containing the Max GUI, where one could program in custom synths and efx and sequence them just like any other Ableton instrument. Anyone have insights as to when and if this will really happen? Many thanks.

In a word...NO.
We're all chomping at the bit, thrashing around biting each other like starved eels in a tank, waiting for news from Berlin.

Anyone tried using Miller Puckette's other language, Pure Data, with live? It's free / open source.

PD is great, but it doesn't integrate with live. But with MidiYoke (or mac equiv) it is great for processing controller data, e.g. mapping after touch to mod wheel or whatever. I use it to map a continuous controller to track selection and then map other controllers to the current track.

I tried using PD and it seemed okay. For some reason though MIDI Out and Sysex didn't seem to be working properly in Windows. It also seemed like there was a lot of "this is about to be implemented," but the last post date was in 2004.
I really would like to create an open source version of a patch to get Native Mode (toggling lights

) working on the padKNOTROL.
