I'll get around to finishing it sometime. This thing includes some live bass I did over the top.

Rather than start a new thread I think I'll just add to this one...

Got a new electronic track up on the three travellers page, its called Quagmire, so far everyone hates it but if you want to give it a chance then feel free.

Listening to Awakening of the Eels, and tbh mate, i think it's mint.... very quirky sorta sound, think with the addition of some kinda drum n bass, jazzy breaks that song would lift even more....sounds like it could really lash out

Cheers for the reply Mathman! Was gonna add in some shermanized guitar fx. I dont know if jazzy/dnb is the way I want it to go (sadly not that big a fan) but who knows what you'll end up with after you've mangled everything.

I need a drum controller or something for beats I reckon. Programming with a mouse and cursor in Live is a bit stale imo.

OOO kinda mantronix-esque bass sound there, not sure on the pad sound, maybe a more crusty ol synth with a bit of detune to it would get that goin. Has that wierd almost kraftwerky ridgedness to it

Also diggin that orientalish sounding Three Travellers. can hear a remixed version of this with some glitched up, dj shadow style beats and patterns.

Love the oriental sorta sounding stuff tbh, have a friend on holidays in asia and he's on the look out for a couple of traditional instruments like Er-hu, gu-zheng n such for me .... also got a few didgeridoo's, check dr didg out if you wanna hear some great live sampled didg playing with a full band line-up, live they are awesome.

Get a trigger finger, thier great....im yet to get one but i have a roland spd-s so use that more than anything else.....even though i cant play drums for toffee with sticks im pretty good on the spd-s with my fingers, they get a beating but the beats keep comin strong.

I'm quite good with my fingers for rhythm. I've used Tabla and djembe etc a lot in the past so that roland did look right up my street. Hmm trigger finger, havent heard of them. I'm planning on sorting the studio out in october when I have time off so might order an octapad style thing.

Violins are quite good for oriental sounds, weirdly. I suppose its their size and shape.
