I am trying to Consolidate numerous audio samples, but when I select "Consolidate" or do cmd-J, nothing happens. This HAS worked of and on today, but most of the time it doesn't. Midi files consolidate OK. I can't find anything obvious, and have tried Live 6.0.3 and 6.0.10 .... same problem with either version. Even if I try to Consolidate two small small samples (of course in the same track, same sample rate, etc).

Has anyone else encountered this? I found one similar post, but no solutions offered. Thx for any ideas.

Mac G4 dual processor 1.25 GHz, with 2 GB RAM, OS X 10.4.10

OK, I am answering my own question here....I was consolidating a long string (10 minute total length) of many small 24-bit samples, and they were on a drive that didn't have enough room to write the resulting aiff. So, moved the project to a large, empty drive and all is working. A dialogue box "not enough room on drive to consolidate..." would be helpful.
