Greetings everyone!
I can't figure out how to record my ableton tracks inside of Sonar via rewire. I get a signal inside of Sonar from Ableton, I can trigger my ableton tracks and hear them in Sonar and all that, but I can't figure out how to record them down in Sonar. If anyone is doing this or knows how please give me specific details. I'm using Sonar 3.1, thanks.

go to musicplayer.com, then go to craig andertons section of the forums called the sss, and ask the question, they will be able to help, lots of sonar
users including craig himself and very helpful people.

Well this works for me in Sonar 2.2 XL, so maybe it will work in 3.1:
1) Select the track(s) which the ableton output comes out on.
2) Highlight the bars on the Sonar time ruler that you want to mix down.
3) Choose Edit->Bounce to track
If you want every ableton output to be recorded into a seperate track in SONAR then you may have to do this one track at a time - unless anyone else has any good ideas!
Cheers,

Realtime tweak recording as Rewire slave

Yes, the bounce to clip or even Export Audio will both do this task fine if the tracks are not muted or archived. I've done this a number of times on my old pc and it is great because it renders with everything perfectly in time, even when you have plugins galore.
I just recently upgraded to a screaming rackmount machine running Sonar 3 with Ableton Rewired in and my question is how to do real-time tweaks in Live and have the results being recorded in Sonar. The method above takes a "snapshot" of the current mute/unmute active clips. I like running Live dynamically and triggering/muting/unmuting alongside with my full arrangement from Sonar and would like a way of recording the result. The Rewire Audio track from Ableton into Sonar does not have a Record Button--only possible to offline render, perhaps?
